    Hi,

I’m new to WordPress and to the Multisite Language Switcher plugin.
I’ve installed and activated the plugin on my multisite, but whenever I access a page in the administration section, the plugin shows a message:
“You should define at least another blog in a different language in order to have some benefit from this plugin!”

I have to site, one in the “root” (my domain, no “subfolder”), and the other under the “en” “folder”.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks.

The plugin looks for all blogs where the current user is an admin. It uses the email-address for that which is in the most cases unique. You set up the 2 blogs with the same user?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Both blogs were opened by the same user (me) with the same email address.
This was done on a clean WordPress installation.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

    OK, excellent. Next:

Do you saved the configuration in ‘Settings > Multisite Language Switcher’ for both blogs?

OK, I think I got it now – I had to click the ‘Update’ button in the Settings page, although I didn’t change a thing.

Now I’ll need to figure out how to add the switcher to my site…

    You could use the widget.

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

I tried using the widget, but it didn’t appear in my site. Maybe it is because some of the sections are hidden in my site (it has a very simple structure – Title, Navigation, Single column for content.

For now I’ve inserted it directly in the PHP, but if you have a better way by using the widget, please advise.

    Thanks.

There are just these 2 ways. You can use the widget or insert PHP code directly.

OK I’ll manage with the PHP code.

    Thanks for the support.
