[Plugin: My Custom CSS] What about the current CSS?

Sounds like I could have used this plugin since day one (if only it was around then 😉 ). Quick question though, what happens to the current CSS if changes had already been made? What I mean is, say I’d made some massive changes to the CSS file of a theme, then its original author releases a new version of the same theme, with practically identical CSS to the original, but with some extra built-in features I could make good use of but only available when using that particular theme – could the current CSS be imported and backed-up in case this happens?

I realise I’ve just made a mountain out of a molehill that probably hasn’t even been dug yet, but as soon as I saw this plugin it was the first thing I asked myself and after giving it some thought I feel it could be an important feature…

Sorry in advance but my English is really poor :/
If i’ve fine understood your question…
I’ve made this plugin to avoid theme manual edits (lost after any update).
“My-custom-css” code is put directly in source code, then it has major priority than classics css files. Therefore, with it, you can simply fix all your grafic problems (and maintain after any update) 🙂

Think I’ve just realised what I overlooked – essentially I could just copy/paste the current code in the CSS file into the CSS code box provided by your plugin, allowing me to make future changes via the admin area and I’d still have the current file there as a fall-back. Would that be right?

Pensa che ho appena realizzato quello che ho trascurato – in sostanza ho potuto solo copiare / incollare il codice corrente nel file CSS nella casella di codice CSS fornito dal plugin, che mi permette di apportare modifiche futuro attraverso l’area admin e avrei ancora il file corrente lì come un ripiego. Vorrei che essere di destra?

Yes, you can copy actual css from your edited theme in plugin box and update your theme without problem (all your customization are now saved in plugin and this have major priority than css from theme) 😉

But isn’t a great idea to recopy entire css, i think is best to copy only customized rules 🙂
