Hi,
First off, I’m sorry for the scare. Seeing a security plugin you rely on suddenly show a different name is exactly the kind of surprise nobody wants, and I completely understand why that was alarming.
To explain what happened: we’re in the middle of consolidating our software under a single brand. Bringing these products together lets us streamline how we build and maintain them, and that shared foundation is what will let us speed up development and ship new features and improvements faster than we could when everything lived under separate brands. The plugin itself is the same plugin you’ve always had, just under the Kadence name now.
On the communication side, you’re right to flag it. We did send notifications to our paying customers ahead of the change, but for the free version we don’t have a reliable way to reach users directly, and admin-area notices are something we try to avoid since they’re intrusive and generally not appreciated. That left a gap here, and the lack of a heads-up is a fair criticism.
To answer your main question directly: the changes you can expect from here are additions, not removals. This is about new features and capabilities, not taking things away. Nothing is being removed or losing support, so you won’t wake up to a feature you depend on having disappeared.
If anything looks off on your sites after the rename, or you have questions about a specific feature, reply here and I’ll be glad to help.
