Is it possible to use the excerpt of a post rather than auto-excerpt? I’ve been looking, but I can’t find the option.

Of course, just unset the auto_excerpt value or set it to false. http://testlab.8elite.com/advanced-usage/displaying-excerpts/

I’m having problems managing to do this with the widget. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong?

Hello,

You were right, there was an issue which ignored when the auto_excerpt parameter was passed by default.

I’ve just pushed version 3.2.1 which solves this issue.
