[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] imagerotator path not defined
-
I keep getting this error message, “The path to imagerotator.swf is not defined, the slideshow will not work.
If you would like to use the JW Image Rotatator, please download the player here and upload it to your Upload folder (Default is wp-content/uploads).” even though I have tried ten ways to Sunday to load this file into the uploads folder. I have tried to upload it into my chosen uploads default folder, which is media/ , I have tried changing the uploads folder to the default wp-content/uploads/ and putting imagerotator.swf in there. I have tried deactivating the plugin and reactivating it – all to no avail. I am still getting the same error message!! I am not appreciative of an error message that tells me I have not defined a file path, and then gives absolutely no information or documentation about how to define the path. If you make a plugin, but don’t make available anything but two year old documentation written by someone else, you are using other peoples time unnecessarily. I am not only a web designer, I have a family to take care of and a life. I don’t appreciate spending a day trying to figure out a complicated plugin, only to find that it relies on third party elements to work, and that there is no way to troubleshoot the problem if it doesn’t work. I have lost days of payed work on uncompleted plugins that are not marked as such in wordpress/extend. To the author of this plugin – GET YOUR DOCUMENTATION TOGETHER. And yes I searched this folder for a post on this topic before I posted this.
