According to the notes I’ve read on this plugin, there should be a way to select an image that represents a gallery and to write a description of the gallery on the admin page:

In the extended view (mode = extend), galleries are displayed on separate rows. Each row consists of the title listed above, the gallery image selected on the admin page for the gallery, the description of the gallery specified on the admin page for the gallery, and the number of photos in the gallery. (Dave’s Technical Musings)

My admin page only lets me set the title of the gallery in Add Gallery. Even in the Manage section, clicking “edit” gives me no options to set an image or create a description. What am I missing?

Okay, when I click the edit link on a gallery, there is a page that shows so briefly I cannot see what is on it, except I caught the words “preview image” or some such. That page goes away in the blink of an eye and I’m left with a page that says Gallery Settings and all I can do is sort the gallery, add watermarks, and resize thumbnails–no global options are available.

I don’t know why that one page only shows for a moment. My guess is that the editing features I’m looking for are there.

    I’m using Firefox 3.0 and WP 2.6.

Okay, I figured it out–apparently the arrow next to Gallery Settings is a dropdown list–and it was briefly appearing when the page opened. Otherwise, I didn’t even notice it. Thanks. Love the plugin, by the way!
