[Plugin :Nextgen Gallery] Need help with sidebar widget thumbnails

I’m using to Nextgen gallery to display images. I Need to have the sidebar widget thumbnails be able to link to the enlarged single pic from the gallery while still displaying the sidebar. Anyone have any suggestion? also I need to know if there’s a way to display more than 8 thumbnails on the the sidear widget.
