[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Slidewhow disappeared
-
PROBLEM: I have a NextGEN Gallery Slideshow on my home page that is not working (imslaboratory.com).
I have found several posts relating to the problem, but here is how mine is different: everything was working fine after we moved the site and upgraded NextGEN, then it stopped working without any additional changes. (Really!)
I’ve tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin, removing and reinstalling the short code, putting the short code on a different page…nothing works.
Here is what appears on the page:
<!– Slide.com error: provide id, w, h –>Here is what used to appear (and still does on the dev site):
div class=”entry-content”>
<div id=”ngg-slideshow-1-2-1″ class=”ngg-slideshow” style=”height:287px;width:558px;”>
<div id=”ngg-slideshow-1-2-1-loader” class=”ngg-slideshow-loader” style=”height:287px;width:558px;”>
<img src=”http://dev.imslaboratory.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/images/loader.gif” alt=”” />
</div></div><script type=”text/javascript” defer=”defer”>
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
jQuery(“#ngg-slideshow-1-2-1″).nggSlideshow( {id: 1,fx:”fade”,width:558,height:287,domain: “http://dev.imslaboratory.com/”,timeout:6000});
});
</script>It just stopped working all by itself on the LIVE version of the site!
I need help FAST because this is the LIVE version!
Thanks in advance!!!

It turns out that we have a conflict between NextGEN and Jetpack. We are trying the fix recommended by Jetpack of turning off the shortcodes in the Jetpack plugin.
Exactly the same error codes and Jetpack has been installed by another admin… I’ll try turning Jetpack off…
It worked for us. You don’t need to disable Jetpack altogether, just turn off shortcodes.
