[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Thumbnails coming up BLANK

    I don’t know if anyone else had this problem with the latest
    wordpress 3.1 and nextgen 7
    but my thumbnails were BLANK.

    after downgrading the aforementioned, I discovered all my photos’ permissions were not correct.

    in my cpanel they were all over the map, they need to be cmod to 644. Once I changed all the photos to 644 everything back to normal.

    Question still remains, how did these permissions get changed? Was it the new wordpress, the plugin or a2hosting? That is something I cannot tell you at this time until I experiment on my own. Just thought I’d share.

    PS. a2hosting has been hard at work UPGRADING our cpanel.

    Any thoughts,knowledge regarding this matter is greatly appreciated. My client wanted to KILL ME.

    After some investigation on the issue, it appears that the permissions were changed due to a bug in the wordpress plugin. I was able to find many reports through the wordpress community that the plugin causes issues with permissions when uploading pictures.

    You may want to consult the wordpress community boards for more information.
