[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] wp upload folder?? where is it

i have posts showing on an independent website using wp. i’m trying to get a nextGEN slide show. i don’t seem to have a wp upload folder on my site so i don’t know where to upload imagerotator.swf. is it possible to use this app. on a post from a site that has wp as a subfolder?
