Plugin No Longer Works after WordPress Update

I recently updated to WordPress 4.3.1. I then mass-updated my plugins and could no longer get into my dashboard, or even see my site. Temporarily renaming the plugins folder allowed me back into my site, and deactivated all of the plugins en masse.

After changing the plugins folder back to “plugins,” I activated every plugin one by one, checking to see that it would activate and that my screen wouldn’t go blank on the next button press.

Upon trying to reactivate better wordpress recaptcha, i got this error (fortunately this did not blank out my dashboard and site):

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home3/courtn28/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bwp-recaptcha/bwp-recaptcha.php on line 51

So apparently, something about this plugin, (the only one i was unable to reactivate) messed with my site, and now it won’t even activate anymore. Help?
