    Hi Guys,

I installed the plugin and activated it, however, I was no longer able to access my admin page. It told me that DBUpdated was missing. I downloaded the plugin files from your site and uploaded it however it kept disappearing…

I removed the plugin manually and then reinstalled it via the plugin-installer on the admin panel. Instead of pressing ‘Activate’ straight after installing I clicked ‘back to Plugin-Installer’ and tried activating from there instead. Now it is not activating. It gives the following error:

“Warning: require_once(/home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photography-management/includes/activator.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photography-management/photography_management.php on line 45

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photography-management/includes/activator.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photography-management/photography_management.php on line 45″

I’ve replaced my site name with ‘xxx’.

    Any ideas?

    Regards,
    Joe

UPDATE: I have tried manually uploading ‘Activator.php’, however, when I press ‘Activate’ it deletes the file and throws the same error…

    Hi,

this sounds strange. Have you installed other plugins? Can you try to temporary disable all other plugins and test PHMM again?

    Denis

    Hi all,

we solved the problem. Joe’s server does not support symlinks and (surprisingly) just deletes all PHP-files which contain the symlink function. Since we assume that this might be an issue for other people too (at least on this host), we will get rid of the symlinks and instead use another technology in the next release (2.7.0).

    Regards,

    Denis
