    Hi there,

I have been using CleanTalk for quite some time and recently I had to re-do my contact form 7 forms and now the plugin will not add the honeypot fields to my forms. I went to advanced settings and toggled OFF the honeypot option and saved, then toggled it back on and saved but nothing.

I hope you can help me with this.

    Daniel

    Hello,

Could you provide us with more details about the issue? Are there any JavaScript errors in your browser’s console or PHP errors in your web server’s PHP logs?

Thank you for your message. I don’t think there is any type of errors that I can see. The plugin has been blocking spam properly overall. Just the honeypot problem I mention.

Should I deactivate and reactivate the plugin to see if it will then add the honeypot fields to my forms? Or do you have instructions for adding it manually so that it will work properly with CleanTalk? Thank you.

Could you try deactivating the plugin with the ‘Complete deactivation’ option enabled (this will clear all CleanTalk plugin settings).

    1. Enter the Antispam by Cleantalk plugin settings. (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk -> Advanced settings)
    2. Check the ‘Complete deactivation’ option at the end of the page and save changes.
    3. Deactivate the plugin on the ‘Plugins’ page in WordPress Dashboard.
    4. Then activate it.
    5. Proceed to the plugin’s settings. (See item 1.)

    Did it help?

Thank you I will try that and will let you know if it works.

I did the exact steps that you outlined and it did not work even though honeypot is checked by default. Honeypot tags have not been added to my forms. Here is the code from one of my main forms for you to look at.
