Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out with this. The floating sidebar will work only for single posts, pages or custom post types. The default blog page is not supported for the moment in Social Pug.
If you could make your homepage to a regular page, then the floating sidebar will work.
Let me know if you find this information useful.
Best regards,
Mihai
Hello,
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I can’t change the homepage to a regular page because if I do, it’ll break some of the other “things” that my predecessor put into place on the page. Is there a way I can hardcode the widget to run on the homepage using a page ID or something along those lines? Could you at least point me in the right direction regarding which php pages or widget files I should look at to do this on my own? I’d appreciate any help.
Hey there,
I would really love to help you out on this one, but unfortunately Social Pug is very tied to the single post. To work for other pages, such as homepages, archive pages or category pages it would need a big refactoring.
There is no quick fix for it, if it would have been we would have added the functionality to the plugin as it has been requested in the past.
A refactoring will be done in a future major release, but at the moment we don’t have a timeline for it.
Best regards,
Mihai
