I’d rather not have login credentials but if you could post some screenshots that would be helpful.
So when I activate the plugin fresh my calendar looks like this: http://i.imgsafe.org/5d05b9d.png
Then I go the backend settings and it looks like this: http://i.imgsafe.org/5f5b52e.png
I change the color of one background: http://i.imgsafe.org/62365f2.png
Then I hit the Save Changes button. Then it shows this: http://i.imgsafe.org/640a856.png
After that I look at my calendar, it looks like this: http://i.imgsafe.org/64a136a.png
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!
If you could share the URL of your calendar that would also help tremendously.
Dark themes are tough. Settings changes were saved as all the text color was saved to black and the borders were saved to transparent.
As you can see in the initial settings page the text is black and there is a left border. The left border is likely added by your current theme as part of it’s default settings and I’m sure that there are likely a couple of other inline styles that are masking the changes that this plugin provides.
The calendar URL is http://ourbethelchurch.com/calendar/
I was using the plugin successfully for over a year already, I just ran into this problem now when I updated to the latest versions of category colors and the events calendar. I also changed a category name and slug which may have caused the issue. I tried using the Twenty Fifteen theme and it made no difference, so this shouldn’t be a theme/styling issue.
Could you save the setting to add the legend?
What category name/slug did you change? from what to what?
I selected “Check to add a Category Legend to the calendar.” and it does stick, however when I do so my calendar disappears and I see this instead: http://i.imgsafe.org/16d71ef.png
I changed the category College & Career (slug: college-career) to Young Adults (slug: young-adults)
Something very odd happening here. I might actually need some credentials to figure this out.
Do you have a staging site I could get credentials for?
No staging site, but I have no problems giving you credentials to the main site. Can I email them to you?
By all means. But I’m not sure I’ll have much time to look at it until later in the week.
Thanks, I’ve sent an email your way. Please get to it when you can. I really appreciate the help!
Plug in isnt doing anything for me either. http://www.famtkdplus.com/events
None of the settings changed in the backend are appearing on the calendar.
Please help.
@magicbri can you provide some screenshots of the settings?
Here is a screenshot

I have tried tweaking all of the settings and nothing seems to make a difference.
@magicbri can we try to rule out a plugin/theme conflict?
Can you revert to a default theme like TwentySixteen?
Can you deactivate all plugins except those relating to the Events Calendar as see if the issue persists?
@magicbri, can you post a list of your active plugins?
