    Hi,

I am experiencing an issue similiar to what some of the others have been discussing here.

Goggle PageInsight is still showing “Serve images in next-gen formats” after I activtated the plugin and enabled webp format via <picture> function.

    FYI I am using Cloudflare.

    Would you please advise?

    Thank you!

    Hi @bkingids

Sorry to hear about the issue.

    We have checked your site.

Some images are not converted to WebP – for example this one:

    Original format: https://www.bakingideas.com.hk/content/uploads/woocommerce-placeholder-768×768.png

WebP format should be here: https://www.bakingideas.com.hk/content/uploads/woocommerce-placeholder-768×768.png.webp

About other images, it looks like this is caused by the way these are added from your theme (Flatsome?). We were not able to update it with WebP – probably it was rendered after Imagify finished its’ changes to the code.

    Best Regards

Thank you for your quick response.

I know a few of the images have not been converted but most of them should have been converted. However, it seems that none of the images are showing in webp format at all…

Yes you’re right that I am using Flatsome. Do you have any suggestions how to solve this?

Separately, some of the images are not even showing on the mobile after I activated the Imagify plugin. I saw some other users having the same issues as well.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey,

    You are welcome.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do here 🙁 I see you use Cloudflare so you will not be able to use rewrite rules to display WebP, and in this kind of cases, we can not change the way we add images via <picture> tag.

This could be an issue with LazyLoad and WebP, and we will work on this issue (we noticed it recently) starting from next week. We hope to fix it as soon as possible.

This is a bit unfortunate becuase I see this as a very efficient plugin to optimise images.

Given the circumstances, however, we would have no choice but go for other alternatives …

Anyway, thank you very much for your help.
