Plugin not working anymore?
-
Hello everyone.
The plugin is not working anymore. At least on my website.
When I click on the Getty Images button I just get a blank window:
Do you know what happened?

Hi @wordsinthebucket! Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the plugin. Unfortunately, I can’t see the screenshot but did some testing and was not able to reproduce a blank screen issue this morning. The plugin was working as expected for both logged in users and embedding images. What version of WordPress are you running and what browser?
Thanks!Hi. Thanks for your reply.
Hope this time the screenshot will show up:

Hi Getty Images,
for me the plugin doesn’t work properly, too.
I can – in fact – search and embed all getty images, but I get an error when displaying the picture in an actual post: “incorrect or invalid URL”. At first, I thought it’s a removed image, than I doublechecked the URL. After that, I looked through older posts on my site and every getty image has shown this error.Could you please check whether the error appears due to the new WordPress release or changes to your API?
Thanks in advance

@dennisgtg – Thank you for reaching out. I’ve escalated the issue and we’re looking into it right now.
I’m not able to reproduce the issue at this time and was able to embed an image without trouble as well as view previously embeded images.
Can you please provide more information about your set up? What version of WP are you running, browser, etc.
Thanks!-

Thank for the quick reply.
I did some research on my own. The plugin collides with “Enhanced Tooltip Glossary”! The Glossary-Plugin changes the URL with some glossary-exclude tag.
Sorry to have bothered you. I will now look for other solutions.
If this can help, I’ve noticed that even if I try to embed the image via the embed code on the Getty Images website instead of using the plugin, the image appears in the visual editor but not in the post when published/previewed! So weird!
It just shows the “Embed from Getty Images” caption which links to the image on the website itself.
Hi @wordsinthebucket,
The Embed team is aware of this issue and looking into today. I’ll follow up here when I have more information. Were you able to resolve the issue with the plugin appearing blank that you mentioned a few weeks ago? I’m unable to reproduce it still on my end but it may a conflict with another plugin, similar to the issue @dennisgtg had.
Plugin is now working for me, because my glossary plugin was updated. It, in fact, is working right now. Maybe you could check your source code @wordsinthebucket and could see what broke down the getty embeds.
It might be an other plugin.Hi @getty-images.
No. The plugin is not working either. I still have that issue too.
I will try to deactivate some other plugins in order to realize if there is any conflict.
Thank you for your support.
And thanks to @dennisgtg too.
@wordsinthebucket – so sorry to hear you’re still having issues with the plugin. Let me know if there’s anything we can do on our end but guessing it’s a conflict with another plugin.
Regarding the blank embeds you’re seeing when pulling the embed code from the site, the team looked into it a bit based on your screenshots and looks like it’s related to some CSS issues. The embed on http://wordsinthebucket.com/the-grey-story-of-the-white-helmets isn’t rendering because of a css issue. Here is a screenshot with the basic issue called out – https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0I-8Jaxh5WDWkUzbXNkdzVVXzA/view
Hope that helps!

Thanks for this @getty-images !
About the plugin, by disabling one by one all of my plugins, I’ve noticed that there is a conflict with the Shortcake (Shortcode UI) plugin.
I hope this help for future updates and for other users that may have the same issue.
Thanks for your help.
