Plugin not working anymore?

    Hi
    I’ve used your plugin in the past and it worked just perfect: simple and smart!

    But now, creating a new site (running on latest WP version 6.4.3) I see the option to upload an image in the User menu, but when I upload an image it is not being displayed at all.

    Although the page says “User updated” on top, all it shows in the user profile image section is the text “You’re seeing the default profile picture.” (and even this is not being displayed, there is simply nothing) and the buttons “Select” and “Remove”.

    Is there a chance to get this plugin working on WP 6.4.3 and later?

    Hi @schweizerschoggi,
    It seems to me that the problem is due to JavaScript.

    Do the add and remove buttons works?
    The problem is that, after Save, you see the old avatar?

    I am currently working on a brand new web where the users did not have an avatar image before. I tried to add them using the plugin as before on other webs, but after selecting an image from the library, the image is not being displayed in the profile image section. Instead there is the message “You’re seeing the default profile picture.” as well as a REMOVE button – but there is no picture at all. I tried selecting an image again, save – and the message is gone, but still no image.

    I tried with different users and images, but always the same.

    As said: the current site is running WP 6.4.3, the old one (where the images are still being displayed) is running on 6.3.3

    Update:
    I was able to find a test server from one of the old webs, where the plugin was working correctly. I updated this test server to WP 6.4.3 and the plugin is still working. That’s the good news.

    One more difference I can see is the PHP version on the server. Could this be an issue? the server where the plugin is working correctly are running PHP 7.4.3, the new one is on PHP 8.1.0

    I just wanted to let you know that the plugin is working without any problems on our latest environment (new server setup, only few plugins installed). So it might be a different issue with the other server.
