    Hi Sally,

    You make it up yourself. It can be absolutely anything.
    We recommend at least 8 characters and a mix of numbers and letters.

    Basically, it is like password protecting your backups so nobody but you can access them. Even if you send us the data to our online vault, it is password protected and even we wouldn’t be able access the data (we would never try though unless you asked us to.) So it does add a really big layer of protection to your data, which some people absolutely require.
