Hi. I’m trying to get this set up on a new site, but the progress is sketchy. The site is here using a child of the Longevity theme.
What I am hoping for is to have a single opt-in that redirects to a thank you page with a download. I am using the sidebar widget for this.

For a bit Firefox acted like it was adding a name and giving a confirmation, but at this point nothing seems to happen when I click ‘subscribe’. It did work on another computer. I was able to add someone using Chrome. Either way, the ‘thank you’ message is appearing in the sidebar and the redirect to the download page isn’t happening.

While searching for solutions I discovered a ‘tables missing’ error message. After clicking the button to add them the page shows ‘attempting to install and repair missing data’ but with no sign of changes occurring.

I have it set to ‘no’ for double opt-in, but it still appears to be sending the email requesting confirmation. Even though we don’t really want the double opt-in I am now wondering if we can include the download link in the confirmation email, or if you have another recommendation for this.

I sent two successful test emails when setting up Postman SMTP but it also has an error message awaiting resolution. I have also sent two test newsletter emails. This may be a separate plugin issue, but the social links generated by Hupso Share are not showing their images. I’m not sure where Sendpress pulls this information from to fix it.

IT shows promise. I really hope we can get this working!
    Thank you

As a follow up, the template retains the logo, but not the styles for background color and links.

The single opt-in may be working, perhaps intermittently, but with the redirect to the thank you page not working we may turn the double opt-in back on. We are really looking forward to getting this resolved.

    Thanks again

    catwingz,

We can help you here in the forum, but it might be easier if you started a thread in our support system by contacting us here:

    http://sendpress.com/contact-us/

We can get some screenshots and version info about your site that you may not want to post publicly here.

If we can get that info, I’m sure we can get this working. I’d want to see screenshots of your confirmation page and how you’re collecting subscribers (form or widget).

BTW…the confirmation message is right on the confirmation page where you’re specifying your page to redirect to.

itdoug, thanks for the reply. I used the contact form since it was the only thing I had access to. I hope this works!

For the record, a number of the issues with this install were either theme or site specific. They were almost completely resolved via email.
