What plugin are you using for your credit/debit card purchases?
If it is working for your PayPal purchases, but not for credit card purchases done through a different gateway plugin – it’s likely that plugin is using it’s own custom Thank You page. In that case the plugin isn’t able to track those. You would need to reach out to the developer of that plugin to ask how you can restore the default WooCommerce Thank You/Order Confirmation page instead of their customized page.

Hi Phil,
Thanks for this – I’m using the plugins:
Business WorldPay Gateway for Woocommerce
WooCommerce cardsave Redirect Gateway
They seem to go to the default WooCommerce Thankyou/Order confirmation page. So not sure why this is happening? Do you have any idea?

Hey Adam,
I would recommend running a quick test with the PayPal Standard option built directly into WooCommerce, or Stripe to ensure it’s working properly. From the sounds of your earlier statement PayPal did work, so the plugin is functioning correctly.
I can’t comment on the functionality of third-party plugins as I’m not sure what their developers have done with their code.
The plugin doesn’t have any problems with third-party payment plugins though. So as long as the plugin does not replace the default order confirmation page, your tracking should work.
You can also contact the developer of the plugin you are using to have them take a look.

We haven’t heard from you in a while. As we had mentioned earlier, i’d recommend testing with PayPal Standard or Stripe to test if it worked properly. Also, as long as your payment plugin doesn’t replace the default order confirmation page, it should work. You might want to reach out to the developer of the plugin for support, as we had mentioned earlier.
