Hello @meichanjr
I can’t replicate in my end, neither I can see another recent similar topic.
Is it possible to perform a conflict test? Having a staging site to check, would be even better.
Can you also inform me about the following?
– previous Defender version (before v.2.2.7)
– WP version
– any other update that happened along with Defender
Thank you,
Dimitris
Hi @wpmudev-support6
Here are my env:
– WordPress 5.4
– Defender Version 2.2.7
– Chrome Version 80.0.3987.149
– Mac OS (Dark Mode) -> i just notice that may be it can be the case since error log say “Cannot read property ‘high_contrast’ of undefined””
Before i updated to Defender Version 2.2.7, everything work fine.
Hello @meichanjr
I trust you are doing well!
Would you please run a test for a conflict with another plugin? To run this test, please deactivate all plugins besides the Defender and see if the blank screen is still there.
If all is well, please start activating one plugin at a time till the issue will be back. If the error still there please switch to a default WordPress theme. If it is still persisting, try re-installing the Defender plugin.
This way you will find with what plugin there is a conflict.
Please have a backup of your site before running this test.
Let us know how it went!
Kind regards,
Nastia
This plugin enable user to config Accessibility, in the Setting page you can found option “Enable high contrast mode”.
And that’s all, there is no conflict with others plugins.
Hello there @meichanjr
This is true, we were still unable to replicate the aforementioned error that’s why we proposed a conflict test, as it can be another plugin/theme triggering it.
Were you able to fix this by toggling the high contrast option?
Please advise!
Thank you,
Dimitris
Hi @wpmudev-support6 ,
Yes i was able to fix the issue but i tried to delete Defender and install it again, i can’t do the test since my site’s production site
Hello @meichanjr
I hope you are doing well!
Glad to know that you fixed the issue. Please consider creating a stating site and run a test for conflict there. You can create a staging site by manually creating your WordPress site or using a plugin like :
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-staging/
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/duplicator/
Let us know how it went.
Kind regards,
Nastia
