[Plugin: Peter's Post Notes] Unable to Export notes

    I have added notes on posts and pages and the exported the posts and pages. After exporting, I then imported the post or page into a site in the same multisite network.

    The plugin was active on both blogsites, but the note was not imported along with the post content.

    Is this normal, or is it something I will need to fix?

    Hi,

    This is the expected behavior — there is not any current logic to hook the notes into any post import or export. What import/export process are you using? You could write an extension to that process or a separate process to also take the notes along.

    Thanks Peter,

    I am using the WordPress Export and Import. The import is the WordPress Import plugin. Not sure if the export comes with that or is built in.

    I switched to the Notely plugin which does export and import the notes,

    And then I discovered the WP Client Reference plugin, which will allow me to build a complete help manual and import it into the sites in the network. Neither of the notes systems (yours or Notely) allowed for HTML as far as I could tell, whereas the WP Client Reference plugin did.
