Plugin PHP Fatal Error causing false positives

    Hello,

    For the last few weeks we’ve been getting email notifications of broken links everyday. After review by our host, they found that we are most likely getting false alerts. Here is what they said:

    The mail you received from that plugin might be a false alert. When we checked the logs it shows that there might be some problem with the broken-line-checker plugin. Please refer the snippet.

    PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function has_cap() on boolean in /plugins/broken-link-checker/core/core.php on line 3746

    Not sure whether the plugin is corrupted or not? As said I have confirmed that the site and the links are working fine.

    Can someone tell me if anyone else is having this issue with the latest WP core? Any ideas on how to fix this problem are appreciated.
