• I saw a previous top referencing this issue, however the fix there did not solve my problem. I have the latest version of the plugin installed as well as the latest version of wordpress. This is a Multi-Site and it is sitting behind a reverse proxy.

The plugin is detecting the ip address of the server, not the client.

Here are is what the plugin is picking up:

The server is behind a reverse proxy
    (With Proxy: 209.95.136.99, 88.221.222.130, 69.31.29.88 – Without Proxy: 172.31.50.95 – Client IP with current configuration: 172.31.50.95)
    External IP of this server:
    detect automatically
    Current value: 35.174.18.97

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Did you try the debug panel? The options are explained there … Probably you will need to whitelist Proxy IPs as you seem to be behind 2 reverse proxies.

    Hi Benjamin,

Thank you for getting back to me. I have tried to whitelist the reverse proxy ips and am still getting the same exact result. The irony in all of this is that the X_Forwarded_For header is showing the correct ip address. The leftmost IP as your comment states. Why can’t we use this?

Please copy the informations from the debug panel (including the options part) so that I can see the details.
