I’ve noticed widget titles are translatable strings in Polylang’s settings but when I tried translating them using that interface it didn’t work.

I used to have duplicates of the same widget with differing titles bound to different languages. That works, however, the approach using string translations seems more appropriate.

Am I missing something or is it a bug?

Using Polylang 0.9.3 with WP 3.4.2

  • I have noticed the same thing on two sites. After some additional testing I found that if the original widget titles are in the default language they don’t show translated but if the strings are translated TO the default language it works.

I made some changes to strings translations, trying to solve some conflicts with a theme and it seems that I broke something else.
Could you test with the development version 0.9.3.1+ ?
