Just attempting to use a custom field to add the date of expiration as I am using a form on the front-end to create custom posts. But there are a few issues.

    1. the plugin database entry creates a strange date in the database for the meta, something like ‘1334943600’ , rather than 2012/04/20.

    2. the plugin also creates the extra meta fields
    -expiration-date-category
    -expiration-date-processed

so are those two extra meta fields needed? and secondly whats with the date?

I realised that the strange date was actually the Unix Timestamp. No idea how to deal with that so I opted to use another plugin, ‘Content Scheduler’, its database entry was easy to work with ’00/00/0000 00:00′.

Hi Permarad, I am too using a form (gravity forms) on front end to create posts, can you please help me with Content Scheduler? I installed and selected all the relevant fields but when I check all post from admin it all says (Expiration Disabled)?

can you please help me to get it to work, post expirator dosent work for me as well
