• Hi,
Honestly, working with WordPress 3.1.3 and Arras theme, your plug-in helped me GREATLY ! Thanks a lot ! Especially since I’m very new to WP..!
As nothing is never perfect (helas..), here are a couple suggestions:
    – I can’t see how to display all thumbnails in their current state (ie as they will be used by WP) without having to select “edit” each of them separately.
    – I did not find a way to select a different aspect ratio (even if it means distortion to reappear when displayed)
    – Above all, could there be a way to rename or show an “alias” to the various thumbnails ? I understand the displayed name is as used in theme files, but not always very explanatory for “an average author”. So, if admin could show an alias or small explanation on the usage of each thumbnail type, it would help authors selecting the proper one.

Sorry if some of these comments are missing the real point : I’m a new comer to WP..

    Thanks again and Bravo !
    Rico

    Rico, thanks for the input!

The latest beta (1.0.0-beta) actually solves some of these issues.

    • When you start the PTE interface you are now given a scrolling list of all the thumbnails (this allows you to select the ones you want to edit).
    • Aspect ratio rules in the beta: I loop through the selected images checking their aspect ratio. If an image has crop enabled then I set the aspect ratio. If there is a proceeding image (crop enabled) with a different aspect ratio, the ratio setting is disabled. However you can override any aspect ratio checks by making your thumbnail selection after choosing the cropped dimensions.
    • I think that an thumbnail alias might be outside the scope of this plugin since it really is the domain of the themes or wordpress to make the available thumbnail labels descriptive.
