I’m moving a wordpress blog to a new server. I used the export and import plugins and all the posts are there, but without the thumnails appearing on the site, although the thumbnails are in the wp-content folders.

How should I hook the two up?

You would need to get the database mappings from the old system and then migrate to the new one. It sounds like the wp_attachment_metadata isn’t being migrated with the wordpress export functionality.

The postmeta table exported and imported okay; I couldn’t work out what was missing. After reading some other forums it sounds like this is a problem with galleries in general and not this plugin. In the end I’ve manually FTP-ed all the files across (and transferred the domain name) and it appears to be working.
