Our mobile site is not working and we get an error that says:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function Genesis_get_option() in/home/h2ublog/public?html/wp-content/plugins/genesis-custom-headers/inc/gch-frontend-views.php on line 13.

It looks like Genesis Custom Header plugin is out of date and has not been updated in over 2 years, even though we have updated it thru WP. I assume it is using coding that is not compatible with the version of PHP that is are running.

    Hello VirtualM,

I am sure we can get to the bottom of this. I have two questions for you.

Is your mobile site built using the Genesis Framework? This plugin requires the Genesis Framework to work, and if it is not present, that error will display. I understand you are using the Serenity child theme, but if you mobile site is not also a child theme of Genesis, this error will occur.

Secondly, I am confused by your comment that this plugin has not been updated in two years. I released this plugin in July, so it only had been out for a few months. Can you provide more info on this?

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi VirtualM,

Since I have not heard from you, I am going to mark this as “resolved”. If you have any more questions, please feel free to post them here.

    Thanks,
    Nick
