The development of Invitation Code Checker is currently inactive, but I can update the plugin for BuddyPress 1.2+ and WordPress 3+.

‘Inactive’: does that mean it is unsupported and buggy? 😛 Or are there better alternatives?
If not: I really think there’s room for a plugin such as this. I need a Private Buddypress but do not want everyone to be able to register and enter the community. What I need is exactly this plugin and I have not found a good alternative.
If updating the plugin would be doable that would be great. Thanks in advance!

I don’t know if there some alternatives, but currently the plugin is unsupported (last update was end 2009). I can’t say when a new version will be available, but I’m trying to release next week a preview / beta version.

I am not very experienced with BP yet but are there no ‘registration approval’ plugins available for BP? It seems such standard behaviour. I could not find any working plugin for this: there were some WP ones but they do not work with BP.
I’d be curious to know if a single/updated version of this plugin ever got made. I’d love to be able to integrate the invitation code behaviour in my single install of Buddypress.
Did a preview / beta version ever get made?
