Hi, I have just noticed on some pages my paragraph spacing disappears when this plugin is active.

When i disable the plugin, the paragraph spacing reappears.

This is happening on the Extra theme.

    Hi @martychc23,

with paragraph spacing you mean empty paragraphs that you included for spacing? Or top/bottom spacing which comes from the design?

And: is that happening in the new block editor, the classic editor or do you use a page builder?

    Thanks,
    Florian

    Hi @florianbrinkmann

I viewed some posts I had written previously. I was using the Divi visual builder to create the page.

When the plugin is active, the spacing between many paragraphs disappeared.

So instead of looking like this:

    Paragraph1

    Paragraph2

When the plugin is active it looks like this:

    Paragraph1
    Paragraph2

So the plugin seems to be doing something to the <P> tags, as i can make the paragraph spacing appear and disappear by activating/deactivating the plugin.

    Hi @martychc23,

thanks for the details! I will try if I can get a copy of Divi for testing from the developers to reproduce your issue.

    Best,
    Florian

That was not successful. Could you maybe send me a copy of the theme and the builder for testing (the Divi support made this suggestion)? You can use the email address from the Contact page on my website that is linked in my forum profile.

    Hi Florian,

I have sent you an email. Thanks

I will close this, we worked it out via email.

For the record, if someone else has a similar issue: it is an issue with the theme, that produces invalid HTML markup for the problematic paragraphs (just an closing paragraph tag, not a correspondig opening one). Lazy Loader removes that tag to produce valid markup.

Yes, this issue has been resolved.

My theme (Extra by Elegant Themes) was creating paragraphs without a closing </p> tag.

This plugin highlighted the issue which i was previously unaware of, and i discovered that virtually all my posts have this issue and require manually fixing.

So i’m thankful for this plugin showing me this.

Not sure why the Extra theme can’t close paragraphs properly but searching online this issue has been around for several years. Yet it still remains unfortunately, so be careful if using the Extra or Divi theme as you may lose your paragraphs.
