The Update manager updated one of my plugins (Oxygen page builder) and after the update the plugin became deactivated and the entire website stopped working.

I examined Update manager logs and they show no abnormalities, reporting “success”.

May I suggest that the Update Manager checks (and restores if necessary) the active status of a plugin that was subject to update?

    Thanks

    Tom

    Hi,

Can you check your php error logs?

Plugins are normally only deactivated after update if there is an error.

Can you install a debug plugin such as this one: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/debug-log-manager/. Your error logs will be needed (I think you will need to contact their support and they will ask you for these)

As you say, the plugin updates ok. Having done some research, you are not the only one having this issue Oxygen Builder (deactivating after an update): https://snipboard.io/27zXxw.jpg

Here is a link to their facebook page where users are having the same issue: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2805386309772446

This is a link to their troubleshooting guide: https://oxygenbuilder.com/documentation/troubleshooting/errors/

The default behaviour of EUM is never to deactivate the plugin after updating unless there is an error. In which case it will rollback to the previous version. I am fairly confident this is an issue with the page builder so you will need to contact their support

EUM updated the Oxygen plugin on my multi-site without problems. The single-site encountered the deactivation glitch. For this reason I suspected some malicious interference and checked all error logs.

It would be REALLY NICE if EUM checked if the plugin is active after update and either reverted to previous version, alerted the User and/or activated the plugin.

Occasionally some plugin conflicts or transient condition occur during updates and automated tools such as EUM should be vigilant. For now I excluded Oxygen plugin from automatic EUM updates, so I can test everything during a manual update.

    Thank you for your help

Could you make a feature request here: https://teamupdraft.com/support/feature-requests/

This way it will go to our product management team directly. EUM is not on the list so could you select UpdraftPlus instead (in the dropdown)
