• EDIT: Seems like GZip Output or MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer may have been causing the conflict…I am actually getting some error from Robots Meta now so I’m trying to do a complete uninstall.

    ———————–

I am having this issue with only one of my blogs, but it’s quite a bother.

Whenever I am typing a new post and click “Add Custom Field”, the field isn’t added. What does happen is that a Draft is saved each time I click “Add Custom Field”, so if I click it 5 times, there will be 5 different drafts saved in my Posts listings.

I am certain this plugin in the culprit of the issue because I’ve deactivated all plugins save for Robots Meta, and until I disable it, the issue keeps occurring.

I know it’s an odd issue, but are there any ideas as to why this happens?

I should note that after I save a draft manually, and some auto meta fields are filled in (by my theme), I am then able to add my own custom fields without issue. It’s only when I first write a new post and there are no custom fields already set.

    Thanks for the help,

    Adam

I get this error below posts when I am editing them and WP tries to save a drafte, after I deactivated GZip Output and left Robots on:

WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘robotsmeta’ in ‘field list’]
    UPDATE wp_posts SET robotsmeta = ” WHERE ID = 139

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /wp-includes/wp-db.php:615) in /wp-includes/classes.php on line 1586
