[Plugin: Search Everything] Slows Things Consideably

I installed this on one of my sites simply because I wanted to add the capability of searching tags. That’s really all the extra “power” I wanted.

This search plugin worked but only months later did I notice that it was taking a LONG time to run queries. Like 20 seconds worth of long time. I only had 150 posts in the site too, so it’s not like it was searching a monster site or anything.

I disabled the plugin and got search results in 2 seconds.

I have since switched to a different enhanced search plugin and the search speed is the same with this new plugin as on the default search settings.
