    Hello,

I am having trouble accessing the settings for the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin.

The settings page is not accessible. Clicking on Marketing -> Facebook, Plugins -> Settings, or going to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Integrations all lead back to the same general WordPress dashboard page, not the plugin’s configuration panel.

I have already tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin, and the issue remains.

My goal is to access the settings to disable the “Promotions Feed,” which keeps being automatically created and is constantly failing.

Can you please advise how I can access the plugin’s settings?

Thanks for sharing the links @abdulaliyy !

    Can you try the following:

    • Temporarily disable all caching plugins and clear the cache
    • Delete and reinstall the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin
    • On the WooCommerce > Status > Tools page, click on Facebook: Reset connection settings button
    • Reconnect to your page

Also, don’t use an incognito browser, and make sure that any adblocker extensions are turned off as well.

Please let us know if this fixes the issue, or you need further assistance.

    Kind regards,
    Marija

    Hi Marija,

Thank you for the detailed instructions. I have now completed every step:

    1. I deactivated all caching plugins (WP Rocket and Nginx Helper).
    2. I cleared my browser cache and am not using incognito mode or adblockers.
    3. I successfully deactivated, deleted, and then reinstalled and reactivated the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin.
    4. I went to WooCommerce > Status > Tools, but the “Facebook: Reset connection settings” tool was not listed there, so I skipped that step as instructed.
    5. I then went back to Marketing -> Facebook.

Unfortunately, the “Get Started” button did not appear. I am still seeing the same original, broken status page with no options to connect or manage the settings.

It seems the troubleshooting steps did not resolve the issue. Please let me know what the next steps should be.

Thank you for your continued help.

    Kind regards, AbdulAliyy

Hi @abdulaliyy , thanks for following up!

Can you try removing the integration from your business manager as well? Go to the Business Apps page, click on “Manage”, and then uninstall the App.

Then try to perform the steps from my previous message again.

If the issue persists, please let us know if you are seeing the “wc_facebook_external_business_id” value on your options page (impressedgraphics.com/wp-admin/options.php).

    Kind regards,
    Marija

    Hi Marija,

Thank you for the new instructions. I have tried to follow them, but I am getting an error on the Meta Business Apps page.

When I go to the Business Apps page, I find the “WooCommerce By Meta” app. When I click on it and then click the “Manage” button, the page fails with a “Something went wrong. Please try again later.” error.

I have tried waiting for an hour and using a completely different web browser, but I am still getting the same error. I am unable to proceed with uninstalling the app as you instructed.

Please let me know what the next steps should be.

    Kind regards, AbdulAliyy

    Hi Marija,

I have a final update. I followed the suggestion to try another reinstallation after pausing my server’s CDN, but it did not solve the problem. The settings page at ‘Marketing -> Facebook’ is still broken and does not show the ‘Get Started’ button.

As per your last instruction, I then went to the options.php page.

I can now confirm that the value wc_facebook_external_business_id DOES exist in my database. The value in the field is impressedgraphics-684997a97a490.

It seems this “stuck” database entry is preventing the plugin from resetting correctly. What are the next steps to fix this?

    Thank you, AbdulAliyy”

Hi @abdulaliyy – thanks for following up with more details.

Can you try removing the integration the from your Business Tools, then reinstall the plugin and try to reconnect to your page?

If the issue persists, you can change the wc_facebook_external_business_id value to any random number (for example 123), then reset the connection from WooCommerce > Status > Tools page (Facebook: Reset connection settings button) before trying to reconnect.

Please make sure that all caching plugins are disabled and the cache is cleared before reinstalling and reconnecting the plugin.

    Kind regards,
    Marija

    Hi Marija,

Firstly, thanks for you help and patience. I have a final update on this issue. I have followed all of your new instructions carefully.

    1. I first tried your “Plan A.” I went to the Facebook Business Tools link you provided, but it led me to a settings page where no apps were listed, so I was unable to remove the integration from that side.
    2. I then proceeded with your “Plan B.” I manually changed the wc_facebook_external_business_id value in my options.php page and saved the changes. After doing this, the “Facebook: Reset connection settings” tool still did not appear in the WooCommerce Tools list.
    3. The final result is that the Marketing -> Facebook page is still showing the same original, broken ‘Store Activity’ screen. It does not provide a ‘Get Started’ button.

We have now tried every possible solution you have suggested, including a full reinstallation and a manual database edit, and the plugin will not reset. This issue appears to be beyond standard troubleshooting.

What is the next level of support you can provide to get this resolved?

    Thank you, AbdulAliyy

    Hi @abdulaliyy ,

Can you enable the plugin’s debug mode? It’s accessible through the Troubleshooting menu, or by running this WP-CLI command: wp option update wc_facebook_enable_debug_mode yes

After enabling debug mode, temporarily disable any caching plugins and clear the cache. You should now see the Facebook debug tools including “Reset connection settings” on the WooCommerce → Status → Tools page. Click on the “Reset settings” button next to the option, and try to connect to your page.

If the issue persists, please share any plugin-related issues in your debug.log and facebook_for_woocommerce log using PasteBin.

    Kind regards,
    Marija
