    Hello,

I have properly authenticated the plugin to my GoToWebinar account, but for some reason, it is not showing the registration form on the page for the desired webinar.

I made sure to use the appropriate shortcode with the associated webinar.

    [gotowebinar-reg key=”*******”]

All I get is the following message:

Thanks for using WP GoToWebinar. The shortcode has been implemented correctly. This page is required if you wish to display GoToWebinar registration forms on your own website. However this page requires a parameter at the end of the URL when accessed so the page knows what registration form to display for a given webinar. So on your upcoming webinars display when you click on a register link it will go to this page and send a parameter to it so that page knows what registration form to display. So if you were expecting a form here don’t worry everything is working fine.

    What am I doing wrong?

Looking forward to your response and I appreciate you creating this plugin!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, can you please share a link of a page on your site showing the GoToWebinar table? i.e. with the shortcode [gotowebinar]. Thanks,

I haven’t activated a page with the GoToWebinar table, is that a requirement?

I was hoping only to have the form shown on the landing page.

If that is a requirement can I set it to a private page that can’t be viewed by people?

It’s not a requirement but I want to see how that is operating on your site as this will point out if there’s something you are not doing correctly or if there’s a deeper issue with the plugin. Thanks,

Here is the page that I just created to utilize for the table.

    https://landingpage.keymanagementgrp.com/test/

And here is the landing page.

    landingpage.keymanagementgrp.com

Is there any way we could take this to a private chat or email? For some reason I am not receiving notifications when you respond on here.

Hmm, I think I fixed it, but I’d prefer not to have to do it this way. In order for it to work for something like Facebook advertising do I have to post the link to the ad like example A instead of example B?

    A: https://landingpage.keymanagementgrp.com/?webinarKey=966322680773975811&hide

    B: https://landingpage.keymanagementgrp.com/

Also, what would I do if I wanted to have separate landing pages for separate forms?

Unfortunately, WordPress doesn’t permit me to take forum topics private, I got in trouble for this recently. So I can now only provide private support for customers who purchase the pro version of the plugin. I know that sounds like total BS and self serving but it’s legit!

The plugin uses query strings to populate the correct form for the webinar. Otherwise you would need to create a page for every webinar and that’s painful. That’s one of the great features of the plugin is that it’s a fully automated system, it shows only upcoming webinars and people can register for them without you having to do anything except create the webinars to begin with!

However you can absolutely create landing pages which show the registration form for a particular webinar without having to use the query string and without having to use the table, and this is what your initial post was heading towards. You can use a shortcode like this: [gotowebinar-reg key=”966322680773975811″] and that should work. The downside of this is that it’s manual but it does mean you can create separate landing pages and have nice URL’s. What I actually suspect the issue is, and it’s not the first time I have seen it, is that you are using the wrong quotes around the shortcode. If you use my example it should work, but notice on your example the quote symbol is a little different? This is why we recommend using the shortcode builder to insert the shortcode as you generally can’t go wrong with it because it’s visual.

Ahh okay works perfect. I didn’t see that there was a shortcode builder built into the system, thanks!

Is it possible to hide all of the information above the form so it literally only shows the form?

    See page: https://landingpage.keymanagementgrp.com/

And one more question. Can I make separate thank you pages for separate forms? It would be nice to be able to track each webinar’s thank you pages separately instead of only having one thank you page.

    Plugin Author Northern Beaches Websites

    (@northernbeacheswebsites)

@digitalsprout yes you can do this with CSS. No you can’t have separate thank you pages but we send the webinar key via a query string so you can still track individual webinars in Google Analytics for example. Thanks,

    Thanks for the response.

    1. What CSS code would be required to hide the data?
    2. I am not too sure what you mean here, how would I track the individual webinars in Google Analytics? I was hoping to use the thank you pages to see if they converted from my landing page and not from the client’s website. But, if I have multiple webinars with only one thank you page, I am not sure how I would be able to do that.

    Hi @digitalsprout,

    1. I only provide that level of support for pro users.
    2. Because when a customer is sent to the thank you page a query string of the webinar is sent to the thank you page. Google Analytics can track the query string of a URL which means you can have 1 thank you page but track many webinars. If it’s a necessity to have separate thank you pages please contact me outside of the forum for customisation services.

    Thanks,
