The next closest I’m aware of is https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-slimstat/ but that also requires PHP 5.3.
The stats module offered by https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/jetpack/ works with PHP 5.2.4 (the minimum requirement of WordPress), but it’s a bit more limited.
Is there any reason for why you absolutely need to use a version of PHP that was discontinued back in 2011?
The reason is, my hosting provider supports only php 5.2 …..
If they’re limiting you to a critical piece of core software that was discontinued over 4 years ago, it might be time for a new hosting provider.
PHP is on 5.6.9 now, and while WordPress still only requires PHP 5.2.4, PHP 5.4 or greater is strongly recommended: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/about/requirements/
Just for clarification, we officially require PHP 5.3, but many of our users report that Slimstat works just fine with PHP 5.2.
Thanks for clarifying, camu!
