Yes, at this time each item can only have one class of options (size, or color), but not size AND color. So if you want to sell red and blue t-shirts in S, M, L. You’d have to combine the options:
Blue (S)
Blue (M)
Blue (L)
Red (S)
Red (M)
Red (L)
