• Hi Otto and everyone,

This plugin looks very promising, but I don’t like the registration process. When initially logging into the site, why can’t you just make WordPress automatically integrate with the Facebook account?

Every time I use SFC Login and SFC Register, it makes you go through the WordPress Registration page process – this isn’t the point of Facebook Connect! The users shouldn’t have to create an account – it should automatically get created for them and boom they’re logged in.

Using this plugin works as you’d expect:
    http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/WP-FBConnect

You hit the connect button, and boom, a new user is made in your WP database and they’re logged in… no questions asked.

But obviously this plugin isn’t as cool or clean as SFC. Is there any way to get automatic registration in SFC?

    Thanks!
    Berto

I know what you mean. i’d love to see this too. the SFC plugin is working great and the branded application for posting feeds is better than i imagined but the point of facebook connect is to set the same username and password as on facebook automatically.

Okay, so I’m trying to understand this. I see my normal login page and there is a connect with facbook button, but when I enter my facebook login info which is different from my wp, I get an error saying facebook user not recognized. When I use my regular wp, I can get in. what gives?
