I’m assuming you are using self-feed widget. The error response is coming from json_decode error and it seems that the instagram server can’t communicate with your site.
Did you authorize the plugin?
I thought I did, I’ll double check. I had a bad internet connection the day I set it up, so it may have not gone through properly…
Ok… How do I go through the authorization process again? Because I don’t see an option for it.
I did go an deactivate and reactivate the plugin which prompted me to log into Instagram, but once I did, it went back to behaving like it was before.
Thought, my site runs on secure HTTP, could that be the problem?
Ok, I logged into Instagram, revoked access, disabled Simply-Instagram, re-enabled it, re-logged in, and reauthorized, and still the same problem.
If you want to see for yourself: https://therealnabeel.com
Bottom right hand widget.
Can you use other widget if it still having the same problem?
I tried putting the tag “[simply_instagram endpoints=”users” type=”self-feed” size=”thumbnail”]” into the main page, with the same problem.
I’m going to try a different theme.
No it’s not the theme. The plugin is not working for your site. I haven’t tested it on ssl site yet.
Still doesn’t seem to work without SSL.
(Thanks for all your help BTW)
Can you access your worpdress database? If so, I need you to get the access token on instagram database in your site. It should be wp_instagram but depends on how you set up your wordpress site. Would that be ok for you?
I’m going to test the endpoints on api console.
Sure, mind if I e-mail it to you directly?
Same Problem.
What was the workaround or fix?
Never got it fixed as I recall actually…
