[Plugin: Slideshow Gallery] No images appear

I’m having a similar problem myself. I’ve enabled shortcodes in widgets in my functions.php file and I’ve created a widget area on my homepage where I’m using a text widget with the shortcode [slideshow gallery_id=”1″] but nothing appears at all. When I substitute the shortcode for some random text, the widget area with its bounding box all appear – but switching back to slideshow shortcode shows nothing.
