I’ve configured it for you, see the example here. It loops through the folder uploads/2012/02 and, as you can see, it’s a little ugly because there are images in different sizes, uploaded by WordPress, it’s only an example, as I say.
To make a real slideshow all you need to do is upload, by FTP, the image files you want to a folder, lets say “/wp-content/uploads/slide/”.
Then, configure the image folder as: uploads/slide/
And the image URL as: http://babasouk.ca/wp-content/uploads/slide/
With this settings, you must see the plugin looping your images.
If you have any more question, I’ll be pleased to assist you.
Cheers!!
Many thanks for your help!! 🙂
I see it works on the side bar!… however i wanted it to work on my homepage footer…I’ve tried as yr example but images are not showing? I guess it is because this footer is also manage by my storefront/footer and not only by wordpress widget….?
Please let me know if you have a cue
and also I was wondering when you have more than one image to your slideshow do you just add them in the image URL field back to back…
Thank you!
Stephanie
To show more than one image you just have to upload it by FTP to the “uploads/slide” folder, for example, with the configuration I’ve proposed you.
To add the widget to the footer, just drag/drop the widget to one of the footer areas (1 to 4). If it doesn’t work, maybe some other plugin or your theme is not suitable to show widgets at the footer.
Sorry, but I can’t imagine what happens to your site exactly, if it works on the sidebar, it must work on the footer area, it’s just the same.
Hope it helps, Rubén
Ok sounds good! thanks for yr help
This was my problem, i didn’t have this right, now i understand it.
I wrote my info like the example here:
Image folder as: uploads/slide/
Image URL as: http://babasouk.ca/wp-content/uploads/slide/
And it’s working, great job! and thanks!
