Deleting the database cache fixed it.
It’s all fine now.
Good to hear. I ll check what could be the reason for this.
With one of the next updates i create a new function which bypass any cache system.
I was just about to start another thread about this…
I have to constantly delete the DB cache for the plugin to work properly, but when I do it messes up all share counts on all posts.
I hope you have a fix for that as soon as possible
Thanks
Hi Vladi,
this is on my list of highest priority. But there are tons of things to do at the moment, so please give me some more days. May i ask you which Cache Plugin you are using?
> but when I do it messes up all share counts on all posts.
What you mean by that? This should not happened, so i like to reproduce that error.
Are counts going to zero, or what do you mean with messes up?
Hi there Rene,
no probs, will just delete the cache until you get it done.
I’m using W3 Total cache and have no idea why it does that. I’ve been using the plugin for a few months now and it used to work just perfect before… i haven’t changed anything either.
It just started adding the shares after the last update for no reason, but I know you are busy, I’ll just keep deleting the cache for now.
Vladi
thanks
I just want to be sure to understand you right:
The first problem is solved and no more wrong shares are added ->
“Then all the sudden 2.4K shares automatically appear.”
But the second problem is persistent and new shares are only accumulated when you purged your W3 Total Cache?
the problem is all the same… Mashsharer is adding shares for no reason, and it’s not the w3 cache plugin.
Something is wrong with your plugin and it happened after that last update.
Nothing is soled, the plugin still adds shares due to an unknown reason… and I have to clear the database cache (via your plugin) all the time to turn them back to normal.
But when I clear the cache all the shares get messed up before they go back to normal.

Hi Vladi,
> the plugin still adds shares due to an unknown reason
soory about the delay. Thats weird, this should not happen. Is it possible to check this on your site, maybe you could create a developer account for me or have a staging platform where i can test this?
You can reach me info at mashshare.net
No problem,
just created the account and emailed you the details.
Thanks
Vladi
perfect – I feel better when i find a fix for this:-)
Sorry abt bumping in but I seem to be getting the same issue. I’ve monitored abt a month (even deactivating my cache plugin) and have to delete the cache after some time (~3-5 days) as the share counts for certain posts get messed up (bloated up to 2.3k count).
Hello Evette,
possible to send me credentials to your site, so i can check this?
support [at] mashshare.net
I also need a url to this pages.
