Hey purplepatriot,
It looks like this issue is related to a change in how caching works in WordPress 4.3. We’re working on getting an update to the plugin pushed out to fix this issue today. Apologies for any inconvenience!
John
No worries, John. Thanks for the quick reply. My client wanted me to look for another plugin, but I reassured her and said “Let me investigate this a little before we do anything rash.”
Hey again,
I’ve pushed out an update which should fix this, so if you update the plugin to version 2.5.10 then it should resolve it. As you’re using the Pro version then if you have any issues updating the plugin then please contact us via our Support form on our website – the moderators on this forum don’t allow us to conduct support for paid plugins here.
Many thanks!
John
Thanks again, John. Worked like a charm! Much appreciated, and a happy client. =)
I love happy clients π Glad to hear that fixed the issue for you.
No obligation of course, but if you like the plugin and support you received would you consider leaving a super-quick review? If not, then no worries at all, just thought I’d ask.
Just let me know if you have any other issues or questions, and have a great week!
John
Thanks for asking. Already done. =)
Thanks so much – I really appreciate that π You rock!
John,
I am opening this ticket back up again because the same issue is happening again. BTW, I must have missed this in your previous reply, but I’m not using the Pro version. I have version 2.3.7 installed, and it goes days without updating, even though there are regular FB posts each day. If I click “Save Changes” on the plugin Settings page (without making any changes at all), then the feed is refreshed. ??
Thanks again for your help!
We’ve had a few reports of this happening for some sites and we’re still trying to get to the bottom of it. We haven’t been able to replicate the problem on any of our own test sites and only a few users are appearing to have the issue which makes it very tricky to troubleshoot. It’s possible that it’s related to this WordPress bug: https://core.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/ticket/33561 but we’re not positive yet. Are you able to try installing any other Facebook plugin (this one for example) to see whether the same issue occurs?
John
I just wanted to let you know that I’ve pushed out an update to the plugin with a workaround for this issue. If you update the plugin and then set the following setting to ‘Yes’ then it should fix the auto-update problem: Custom Facebook Feed > Customize > Misc > Misc Settings > Force cache to clear on interval.
Let me know if fixes the issue for you.

John – this looks to have done the trick. May thanks again!!
