Plugin support confirmation?

@modernnerd: I am aware that the official Studiopress line with regards to their plugins is: ‘If it works, there’s no need to change anything on the plugin page’.

But the big notice that this plugin has not been tested with the last 3 major versions of WordPress does not exactly instill confidence with new (or current for that matter) users.

Can you please make sure this is updated some time soon?

Also adding a confirmation somewhere in the plugin description text along the lines that Studiopress does actively monitor things and will update when needed would be a good move in my opinion.

By the way, now that I have your ear: if this plugin were to be deactivated what would that mean for a Genesis/Woocommerce site?

Yes, I’ve mentioned this to our team today for you.

You may see incorrect styling on some pages, including doubled or missing titles on product archive pages, incorrect content/sidebar layout on WooCommerce pages, and styling differences for StudioPress themes (StudioPress themes are styled assuming Genesis Connect is active).

You’d also lose support for Genesis-specific features such as Genesis layouts and Genesis SEO on WooCommerce product pages, as well as WooCommerce plugin integration with Genesis Simple Sidebars.

Some people run their Genesis sites and WooCommerce without Genesis Connect, but it’s likely some theme modifications would be needed. This plugin aims to remove the need for people to alter their themes to get support for Genesis features with WooCommerce.

@modernnerd: Thank you for the prompt action on this Nick! I look forward to seeing the plugin page updated.

Truth be told I think using this plugin makes life a lot easier for Genesis users (we often use it on client sites) and it is good to know that Studiopress is committed to supporting it.

We very much prefer the Genesis/Woo combo as oppossed to having to opt for a different framework/theme.
