[Plugin: Twitter Tools] error when trying to tweet manually

“Oops, your tweet was not posted. Please check your blog is connected to Twitter and Twitter is up and running happily.”

I get the above error message when trying to send a manual tweet from the Posts menu.

I’ve used Twitter Tools on a number of sites, without any problems. Same setup, server, etc…I think this install somehow became corrupted when I was activating too many plugins at once.

I have re-installed wordpress (via admin updates) and disabled, deleted, and re-downloaded/installed the twitter tools plugin, yet I still get this error message on the one site in question.

When I add my tokens + keys, etc. it connects says “Yay! we connected” and shows my correct username, but it simply gives me the error message (above) whenever I try to use it.

Any ideas where to go from here besides a full db wipe and start over?

(ps – I did check and my other blog posts w/o any problems, and the dev site is up and running).
