I installed twitter tools a while back and it was working great.. somewhere along the line it stopped working.. due to me upgrading other plugins or some other conflict.. I kept upgrading TT in hopes it would fix it with no luck.. No that I just upgraded to wp 2.7.1 I thought that would fix it.. nope. Its wierd I can install it but then once its installed I cant access the options panel for it.. it just shows up blank.. its like when I uninstall it it still stores the settings somewhere and trys to keep loading the old ones.

I heard that it has some DB tables.. maybe if I delete those it will reset..

    any pointers????

    thhxx 4 your help

    Cheers,

  • There is no known issue of conflicts between TT and other plugins, but you may never know ..
could you please specify your TT vesion, as well as other plugins installed ?
Personaly, if you o not know how to touch a database, it wold be better to avoid it.
If you still must, you should ask your host for the PhpMyAdmin panel access, and you can check the DB tables value for conflicts , or reset them at will…
but first, try to list your plugins and VR.
Also, try to clean your browser’s cach and cookies and log again.

I was actually testing out some different twitter plug-ins but after I installed twitter tools then deactivated it I could not try out any others they kept giving me parsing errors. Is this possibly a broblem with info left on the DB after being uninstalled?

any help would be apreaciated.. cant wait to have TT back!! 😉

I have the same problem. The last blog post it sent to Twitter (and also shows in my TT sidebar widget) is from 8/25/08 but I have many blog posts from after that.

I’ve wondered what will solve this problem as well.

The list of my other installed plugins can be seen here.

yeah i will go through 1 by 1 and see which plugin is causing the issue.. will post when I find out..

    cheers,

I did some more looking and came across something interesting. My new posts do show as new status messages in Twitter. But, the odd thing is the new tweets (based on my new posts) does not show in my TT widget.

It will show new Tweets I make directly into Twitter but it will not show posts that are sent to Twitter. It used to do that.

Just compare my Twitter messages with my TT widget (bottom left titled “What I’m Doing”) and you’ll see a difference. This is what I’d like to get fixed.

The only solution I’ve come up with is a workaround to insert a RSS widget and input the RSS feed for my Twitter account. But, this doesn’t use the TT plugin at all. I’d prefer to use the plugin. I’m hoping you find something and if not hopefully the plugin creator will see this thread and provide a solution.

oki think that i have it figured.. when I have more than 5 plugins installed I cannot access Twitter Tools admin page for some reason. it still creates tweets fine but the the admin panel is blank when I try to access it.

other than that I think TT was haveing some issues with the WP Database backup plugin.. all others seem to function with it fine.

No problem I will just have to temporaily disable the other plugins to change the TT options which is very rare so im not worried.. thanks for all the feedback guys.. you are rad..

I guess you and I are experiencing different issues. My tweets go through to the Twitter website fine but they don’t show up on the TT widget on my blog.
