Plugin unusable on read-only sites

    This plugin is not usable on websites that operate in tandem with things like S3 or GCS. If WordPress is set to store media in S3 this plugin breaks as it uses file_put_contents instead of relying on the built-in media upload functions of WordPress.

    Would it be possible to change the thumbnail (and other media related) functions to use WordPress media functions?
