Plugin update altered site

    updated the ‘twitter tool’ and ‘social’ plugin.
    After they installed the navigation and custom field that was showing a dynamic gallery were removed.
    Uninstalled plugins but no joy.
    Am using ‘Gallery’ a Thematic child theme. Very odd thing is the landing page now shows the contents from other pages.

    any advice appreciated.
